Report Thursday: Between support and bureaucracy

Just under a week-long camp in Dobova was rebuilt and made ready for winter, today's was the last work. In the camp, refugees are registered and then directly on to Austria.
At 8 o'clock we were ready therefore Breakf, to help the Caritas to establish their medical Verorgungszelte in the camp. Preceded by phone calls and conversations were for days on end, that we finally received the necessary registration for it. We must again perform them now every tag(!). The Slovenian Red Cross, which are no less bureaucratic than the Slovenian authorities operates the rest of the camp. Unfortunately, we had a pretty long wait, since previous work was not yet finished. In this time we tried, unfortunately unsuccessful, a W-LAN network to provide refugees. We will again organise the concerns in Germany and then implement.

Some of us attended the press conference of the Slovenian Interior Secretary, local police and military to the current position. The present journalist * Interior viewed as a priority for the new border between Slovenia and Croatia. On demand by us, the Interior Secretary stressed that he pleased about any help from volunteers. However, the condition was that they would adhere to the rules provided by the Slovenian authorities. Our assessment of this statement and other political events will be coming to you in a few days.

Since the evening, refugees have arrived then in the Hardy camp in Dobova. The number of persons is within limits, this is well organized. Two weeks ago it should have looked very much worse. Currently, we look after the medical tent in the camp Dobova, advise the refugees and worry about us, how we can entertain the children tomorrow. Currently have the fact any toys or other entertainment options. Photos are unfortunately prohibited in the camp. A charity should already from another camp been relegated after one of their helpers with a camera made a photo.

Tomorrow we will continue be active in the camp Dobva and try to entertain the children with toys. Unfortunately the provisions of the Red Cross, of which hold us in the big tents of solidarity to support the refugees. The Red Cross offers unfortunately only the standard supply and no solidarity.  We have to wait, however, with scraping feet before the tents.
On Saturday, a demonstration against the construction of the fence at the Slovenian border takes place in the Croatian capital of Zagreb – a few of us will be joining it. May we will look at a Nazidemonstration on Sunday in game box and neatly against it make noise. It is more exciting.

In the next few days, also a statement about the donations and the further procedure will reach you. Thank you for your interest and your support!
